Terms of Service

Last updated: 13 June 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Geisro website and the Geisro map editor (together, the "Service"), operated by Geisro ("Geisro", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Geisro is a browser-based map editor that lets you draw and edit map geometries, measure distance and area, plan routes, import and export GeoJSON, import map data, and organise your work into projects and layers. Features available to you depend on the plan your account is on (see Pricing).

2. Accounts

You sign in to Geisro with a Google account. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. You must provide accurate information and not impersonate anyone else.

3. Plans, subscriptions and payments

Geisro offers a free plan and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis (for example monthly) until cancelled.

  • Reseller / Merchant of Record. Our order process and payments are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and handles payment, billing, invoicing and the collection and remittance of applicable VAT or sales tax. Paddle's buyer terms also apply to your purchase.
  • Renewals. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price, unless you cancel before the renewal date.
  • Cancellation. You can cancel at any time through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, after which your account reverts to the free plan.
  • Refunds. Refunds, where available, are described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Price changes. We may change plan prices. We will give reasonable notice before a change affects you, and changes never apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the data you create or upload in the Service (projects, layers, geometries, attributes and notes - your "Content"). You grant us only the limited rights needed to host, process and display your Content so we can provide the Service to you. You are responsible for your Content and for having the right to use any data you import.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law or infringe anyone's rights through your use of the Service;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • circumvent plan limits, usage limits or access controls;
  • resell or redistribute the Service without our permission;
  • use the Service to store or distribute malicious or unlawful content.

6. Third-party data and services

The Service uses third-party map tiles, geocoding, routing and map-data providers, and map data based on OpenStreetMap and other sources. Your use of data obtained through the Service may be subject to those providers' licences and attribution requirements, which you are responsible for respecting when you reuse exported data.

Some features (such as routing, address search and map-data import) depend on these third-party providers. We are not liable for temporary unavailability, degradation or changes of those third-party services, without prejudice to your statutory rights.

7. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on an "as is" and "as available" basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend or discontinue the Service or parts of it. Where this materially affects a paid plan, we will act reasonably.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms it or other users. On termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as payment obligations and liability limits) will survive.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind. Geisro is a general-purpose drawing and mapping tool and is not intended for use as a source of authoritative survey, navigation, legal-boundary or safety-critical data; you are responsible for verifying any results before relying on them. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, take reasonable steps to inform you. Your continued use of the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
